I love Foursquare and it has certainly provided enough serendipity to be worthwhile for me.  What is another layer on top of their Place Graph is the event graph.  Events take place at venues, but are restricted to a certain date and time. There may also be people at a venue who are not participating in an event.  The connections between people at the event are much stronger than just those at the venue.  I think these are the most interesting and relevant, and I look forward to someone building an Event Graph on top of Foursquare.

So @foursquare, let’s build an event graph to get the really interesting connections between people check-in at the same venue for real meaning.  That event can be as simple as “Dinner with Dan” or “Engagement Party” but that context of why someone is checking in at a venue will tell you a lot more.
